Do you notice anything missing?
Here are the chunks of the roof!
It is so strange to see the stairs from the outside like this...

A Bird's-eye View
While work has been progressing over the past few weeks, there isn't much we can see changing from the outside! But thanks to a friend of the library, we have a pic from above that gives you an idea of the library's new "footprint."
From here you can see the size of the front addition, and the pieces of the roof overhang that have been removed in preparation for the second-story addition on top of the currently visible lower level.
Also, last week the trees that lined the sidewalk from the main circle to the library were removed.
They will eventually be replaced by taller trees, creating a "vaulted" look leading to the library entrance.

More Interior Views
Yesterday we were able to check out what has been going on inside the building - here are a few interesting developments!
From the outside:
From the outside:
Some of the plywood has been removed from the front.
Progress continues on the inside of the addition.
Upstairs:
As you come in the front door, this is the view to your right (the west end of the building).
And these are library staff offices on the southwest side (back of the building).
Here we are looking to the northeast corner, future tutoring offices and study spaces.
And here is the rather iconic "gallery shot," showing the main floor from end-to-end.
Now we'll head downstairs....
...but watch your step as we get to the bottom!
Downstairs:
Looking east toward the Learning Center building - the new library instruction room is taking shape!
Looking out into our new addition, where our books will be located.
Two shots of the new, larger windows on the south side (back) of the building.
Thanks for stopping by! And remember that while all of this is going on, the library staff is still available to help you - we are currently in rooms C205 and C206 in the Classroom Building!
